First day in the pool with Nathan!

Greyson and Nathan had an awesome time yesterday in the pool for the first time! We had 90 degrees! Neither cried at any point and they both seemed to love the water...I wish I could post video here... but since I cannot, here are a few of my favorite pics!!

Volunteering with Greyson!

Today, Greyson and I along with Adria and Nathan volunteered at the Park Ridge Rec Center (nursing home). I've recently joined an amazing new church along with the Sakyi's - CCV (Movie Church) in Royersford. Our activity this AM was one that was organized by the church as a part of their Serve Fest.

I truly, truly valued and enjoyed the time spent there. Not only were we bringing smiles to a lot of the folks there, they were giving us the same in return. Each visit was awesome! They loved to see Greyson and Nathan, and the boys really enjoyed the attention : ). We must do it again!!

Mother's Day

Spent a fabulous Mother's Day with 3 incredibly special mothers who are dear to my heart!! Church service which kicked off what is sure to be an awesome series on motherhood, brunch (arranged by Adria...Nathan's mommy), and a movie night with Naya!

A special Happy Mother's Day to all of the fabulous mothers in my life and to those following this blog. I sincerely hope that you all had the joyful Mother's Day that you deserve!

5 Months Today!!!

Today is bitter sweet...Greyson is 5 Months Old today! He is sitting up, trying to drink from a sippy cup, he's been on Stage 1 Foods for a month now...and this morning he ate a whole half cup of apples...(which will be apparent in his diaper a little later). Greyson is so strong and very physical. He sits up in his bath now. His sleep patterns have changed recently but I think I am on to something putting him to bed a little bit earlier. (Thanks for the input from other mothers, he has slept 5 hour stretches going to bed at 9PM...he's up at 2:30AM but he does get that good 5 hour stretch that we were missing!) He knows his name, he knows his most favorite people, and he knows his buddy Nathan when he sees him. While Nathan is trying to hug him (and give him juicy kisses...which daddy would probably have an issue with hahahahha) Greyson just smiles and is open to the affection from his friend. I look forward to seeing them interact even more as they get older. He babbles a lot!!! He screams lol and he LOVES our miniature poodle Keke. Greyson is in stage 3 diapers and he wears size 6-12 months or 9-12 months depending on the brand of clothing.

The reason that today is bitter sweet is because it is the 1 year anniversary of my fathers passing, and Greyson never had the chance to meet him. He was such a wonderful man and an awesome Pop Pop! I took Greyson to the cemetery for the 1st time today...we visited with Pop Pop and Uncle Timmy, my younger brother who tragically passed away 10 years ago when he was only 20. These 2 men had so much that they could have taught Greyson (Timmy's athleticism, humor, and drive to be the best at everything he did;  And my fathers work ethic, athleticism and ability to build and fix anything. His kind heart and his loyalty.) Although Greyson will miss out on their physicality and presence, he WILL know their spirit and feel their love!
